INGREDIENTS
2 - 27oz cans beans in chili sauce
1 - 28oz can crushed tomatoes, no salt added
1 lb ground beef
1 - 14oz can tomatoes and green chilies
2 cups beef broth
1/2 cup onions, diced
3 Tbsp Chili Powder Blend
2 Tbsp white vinegar
1 Tbsp tomato paste
1 Tbsp garlic, minced
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp + to-taste, salt
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp turmeric
shredded cheddar cheese (for garnish)
sour cream (for garnish)
PREPARATION
1) Heat large pot on stove to med-hi. Add olive oil, tomato paste, 1 tsp salt, onion, and garlic. Stir and cook 1-2 minutes.
2) Add ground beef and Chili Powder Blend. Break up with wooden spoon, combining mixture completely. Cook 3-4 mins until meat is slightly browned.
3) Add all cans tomatoes, broth, beans, vinegar, sugar, and turmeric. Stir. Heat to gentle boil then reduce heat to medium.
4) Cover and cook for 45 minutes, stirring frequently.
5) Remove lid, reduce heat to simmer. Salt to-taste. Continue to cook, uncovered, for 15 minutes (stirring frequently) until chili begins to thicken slightly.
6) Garnish with sour cream and cheese. Enjoy!
